Essential Duties 

Annual Giving
Develop a comprehensive development plan that focuses on design, implementation and evaluation of the overall annual giving program to increase annual philanthropic resources.

Create and implement strategies that include aggressive and creative direct mail components as well as deployment of new technologies (social media, etc.). This work also demands close collaboration with faculty, staff, and volunteers on various special initiatives to increase annual gifts from individuals, corporations, and foundations (typically in the range of $100-$5,000) through identification, cultivation and solicitation.

Conduct annual employee campaign. Work with employee campaign committee to build relationships and affinity for giving from faculty and staff.

Act as a key contact to oversee and provide guidance to departments and student groups seeking to raise funds for their projects or departments.

Identifies, researches, cultivates, and solicits prospective donors within the donor constituency (including alumni, friends, trustees, foundations, corporations, etc.) to contribute to the overall fundraising needs.

Assists with overall event planning, including the solicitation of sponsorships from individuals, corporations, and foundations.

Represents NWACC Foundation at in both internal and external communities; continually builds and fosters partnerships within the community.

Cultivates relationships for the purpose of seeking annual scholarship ($1,000-$5,000) and named endowment scholarship ($10,000+) gifts that are essential for student success at NWACC.

Establishes, tracks and facilitates individual scholarship funds, working with donors and college personnel to ensure proper stewardship of funds.

Communicates recipient information to the appropriate donor upon scholarship recipient selection and acceptance.

Fiscal Responsibilities
Monitors scholarship fund account balances to make sure funding levels are staying at appropriate levels.

Develop annual giving program budget and presents to executive director for consideration and inclusion in annual budget.

Coordinate the creation and delivery of solicitation materials (direct mail, email, social media, etc).

Co-develop solicitation materials, gift proposals, presentations, reports, and other documentations as needed to solicit funding.

Develops and disseminates communication materials such as brochures, special event marketing pieces, and social media.

Database Management
Ensure that all scholarships are listed properly with the scholarship criteria and who established (contact).

Regularly record donor notes and actions.

Perform all functions with a high degree of accuracy and confidentiality.

Perform other duties as assigned.


Required Qualifications

Bachelors degree

Minimum of three years in fundraising (annual giving program development and growth preferred) and/or marketing experience with solid understanding of fundraising principles and methodologies

Excellent written and oral communication skills.



$42,000 to $45,000 commensurate with experience.
