Aug 31 - Community Development Coordinator
Arkansas is consistently among the states with the highest rates of food insecurity in the U.S., with one in five people classified as food insecure and one in four children among the hungry. The Arkansas Foodbank is the state’s largest non-governmental provider of emergency food aid. The Foodbank provides high quality, safe, healthy food to a network of about 300 food pantries and other hunger relief agencies in 33 counties in central and south Arkansas. Foodbank partner agencies serve more than 23,000 people per week—touching the lives of 166,000+ individuals every year. In 2014, the Foodbank distributed 22.4 million pounds of food to our approximately 300 member agencies in central and southern Arkansas and to the state's five other regional Feeding America food banks. We are currently seeking a Community Development Coordinator who will be responsible for coordinating all components of cause-related marketing and third party fundraising efforts; publicizing the Foodbank through a multitude of social media, e-blast communications and monthly e-newsletters.
